Dear Colleague,

At last 2021 has arrived and with it a new team is at the helm of affairs of OASIS. Myself and Prof. Aneen Kutty along with enthusiastic Presidents and secretaries of our South Indian states and the executive are ready with new ideas to take OASIS to even greater heights.

The spirit of OASIS was well reflected in our determination to conduct our annual event in spite of the Pandemic. What an event it was though Virtual! Over 1400 delegates and 820 papers, over 25 foreign faculty and the best of faculty from South India . And of course the non-academic sessions : on current affairs to financial planning to Spirituality. A scientific feast indeed.

Dear friends,

Greeting from OASIS and hope you are all in good health.

Amidst the covid pandemic, it's been a, year long struggle by all of us to stay safe and serve our patients and the nation.

Academics and interaction between members are the prime motive of any association. OASIS, is planning to increase the interaction between member States and all its members. As part this we are planning to increase the academic programs under OASIS. We have started Instructional course lectures along with the Traumacon, so that a member state will do at least an academic program once in two years. We have also started two OASIS fellowships this year onwards, and I request all members to spread this message to all junior Orthopaedic friends.

The last OASISCON 2020 held at Hyderabad, inspite of being a virtual conference was well attended by around 1400 delegates from all over South India. The OASISCON 2021is being conducted by Tamil Nadu at Yercaud, a wonderful hill station near Salem.

We would like to serve all the members of South Indian States in all academic and non academic activities.
